Tandy Truelove

Hello My Name Is...

Tandy Truelove

Ms. Truelove

This is my eleventh year in the Special Education Resource Classroom.  I have been teaching here for 16 years.  I have previously taught Second and Fourth grades here at Fort Thomas Elementary.  I enjoy seeing the changes in all of my students as they master things that have been challenging for them.  I have seen many of them come very far on their journey to being wonderful young men and ladies.

It is my strong belief that all children can learn.  They have amazing potential and it is up to them, with some guidance from teachers and family, to realize that potential.  I make a commitment everyday to do my best to help each student in our classes to make the best of what they bring to school.  With this in mind, we strive to keep groups small, instruction focused, and constantly monitor and adjust groupings and placements within the curriculum.

My students are not given grades by me.  Their progress on their goals is tracked and you will receive a progress report on their goals every quarter.  I am not the teacher of record who is responsible for their grades in the classroom.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Classroom Hours:
We are here and engaged in learning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Friday is reserved for completing paperwork and assessments, lesson planning and teacher meetings.  If you need to make sure that I have time to talk to you please schedule an appointment so that I can make certain to give you the time that you need.  You are welcome to visit anytime.
